Can I resell my space? 

No, If you want to resell your space, We suggest to you to sign up for new accounts.

How do I put a password on my site? 

You can only put a password on a DIRECTORY, not each files. Setup is easy, Just go into the Access Panel and follow the instructions.

How do I register/transfer a domain name? 

E-mail admin@serviceisland.com with.

Domain transfers usually take about 2 days.

It takes a few days for the new information from the InterNIC to spread around the net. After this time has elapsed, it is important to contact your old provider and let them know that you have moved your domain so that they can delete the domain information from their name servers. Having name servers report conflicting domain information may cause difficulties in accessing your site.

How do I upload files into my account? 

First of all - you will need a program other than a web browser which is known as an FTP client. Should you have questions as to where to obtain such a program, your internet service provider should be able to assist you in obtaining the proper for software for your particular computer.

Some nice FREEWARE programs are ws-ftp, CuteFTP. Check out http://www.download.com if you need it.

Be sure to upload all images in "binary" format. HTML and other text files should be transferred as "ascii".

Mac users: If you are using Fetch, be sure that you upload your image files in "Raw Data" format.
